Ambition
To have a well established business and be proud of my work.
What made you get involved in competitions?
College introduced me to competitions. I wanted to do something positive, so I competed in a
regional heat (Yorkshire) and won. I then went on to the WorldSkills UK regional heat at IOG Saltex
and came third.
What does this experience mean to you?
I have great pride in myself knowing that I can achieve things that I never thought I
could. I have new friends and made my family proud.
Personal achievements
Competing in the regional and national heats. Also, being in the career I love.
Something we didn’t know about Luke
I love my clothes and going to watch football with the lads on a Saturday.
